"Love when friends come in and play!! Alexa was looking for a very blended balayage using her natural root color but also blending out her old highlights. We did a color melt on her over 6 months ago! The grow out was beautiful over time but it started to look two-toned and the toner faded. ?I used the NEW @colortrak Ibiza Collection (It’s so pretty!!!) - feather bristle brushes to seamlessly blend and add dimensional lightness throughout and around the face. ?Once processed and shampooed (no conditioner), I used the @thewetbrush Time Release Detangler and Wet Brush to gently brush out all the backcombing. ??‍♀️For those who ask, how long does a color melt last? Well depending on the color line, what the hair lifted to and the client's lifestyle.. there is no answer! It’s whenever the client feels it’s time or you start to notice brassiness or a line of demarcation." Color used: @joico Lumishine
