Yesterday @kilianjornet set the fastest known time on the legendary Bob Graham Round on the English fells in the Lake District. The 106 km, 42-peak round was originally climbed and ran by Bob Graham in under 24 hours in 1932. In 1982 Billy Bland set a record that stood until yesterday.
“It has been hard, but very exciting. I've had the Bob Graham Round in my mind for a while and finally, I could give it a try and realized how amazing the time that Billy did thirty years ago was. It was a beautiful day out in the mountains together with all those runners who came to pace me. I would like to thank Billy who came to cheer for me, and also everyone in Keswick. Here you can really feel the love for fell running. I couldn’t be happier to complete this round," said Kilian.
