I was lucky enough to grow up having these two sports’ giants as heroes: Hugo Sanchez and Julio César Chávez, the 2 biggest legends of Mexico. These two broke all Mexican stereotypes and became World Champions at a super high level, never reached by another Mexican athlete. Hugo became the highest scorer during 5 years at the Spanish Soccer league playing for Real Madrid (Only Cristiano and Messi broke his record recently) and Julio was 87-0 in Boxing. I am friends with @jcchavez115 but I have never met Hugol. I named a White Lion Julio after the Champ, and I named a Puma Hugo, since Hugo played for the University Pumas before going to Spain. I’ll name a Lion “Hugol” because Lions are my favorite and Hugo deserves a Lion for inspiring me so much. When I was a kid, I used to speak about myself in third person, imitating the way Hugo spoke about himself. I used to drive people crazy. Papa Bear inherited his #WINNING mentality from these two Mexicans (Notice the third person showing its face from time to time). I’ve never backed off from a fight following Julio’s leadership and I have always seen everyone eye to eye thanks to Hugo’s. I grew up wanting to inspire my countrymen just like Hugo and Julio inspired me since I was “Destined” to play American Football, but Existence wanted me to do something else.
