When @フィリッペ・トレド headed out at J Bay this morning for one more victory lap, veteran tour photographer @badboyryry_ knew the best way to capture it: from above.

“It’s rare when J Bay is that clear with no wind,” says Miller. “It was eye opening to see all the fish and different sand/rock formations. I think about sharks way more when I’m shooting drone than when I’m swimming. Like, what am I gonna a do when I see a shark swim in the frame?”

Interested in documenting the action from the sky? Miller says DJI is the drone of choice. “The Inspire is the best but I use the Mavic as it packs up real small in my bag. I shoot drone about 1 percent of the time, but it definitely makes an average morning at J Bay look fresh.” ⚡️??
