The Bands of the Guards Division played a very special rendition of Three Lions on the forecourt of Buckingham Palace yesterday ahead of England’s World Cup quarter-final game with Sweden.
For Changing the Guard, a full Military Band is provided, usually from one of the five Guards Regiments. The bands often play a variety of music during the ceremony to entertain the operational Guardsmen and tourists alike, ranging from traditional military marches to contemporary popular songs.
The Welsh Guards Band provided musical support as the 1st Battalion Coldstream Guards took over The Queen’s Guard from the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) who are currently in London performing Public Duties for three weeks, as well as participating in the the Royal Air Force 100th birthday celebrations next week. © @armyinlondon
