Today marks the passing of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, and celebrates the long legacy of freedom fighters in American history.

The passage of the act helped to provide federal job opportunities for African Americans, strengthened voting laws, lessened racial restrictions on the use of public facilities, and limited the federal funding of discriminatory aid programs. #APeoplesJourney #ANationsStory
