Happy 19th Birthday to my only begotten child, @harleyquinnsmith! First you were a weird, wonderful infant. Then you were a terrific toddler. After that you were a crazy kid, followed by being awfully emo. But then you developed into the strong, principled, beautiful young woman you are today. And now that we’ve arrived at the last of your teenage years before your 20’s come calling, enjoy the next 365 days. You never get to be a teenager again after your next birthday (that is, unless you opt to live like an eternal adolescent who’ll never get taken seriously, like your Father). Regardless, as I did in the pic above (taken during your first ever visit to Los Angeles in June of ‘99), my shoulder will always be there for you to lean on. You are my favorite human being on the planet as well as the only person I helped make from scratch! I’ve always loved you with no question but I truly admire and adore the individual you have grown up to be! My birthday wish for you is that you get cast by a real director in a non-Kevin Smith movie this year (but selfishly, I hope I get to do a movie with you this year too)! Making you was fun - but watching you make yourself up as you go all these years has been an absolute delight! Mom and I love you with our entire beings, Quinnster!
