This week’s featured photographer, @nicbezzina, documents ‘Young Muay Thai’, a photo essay following the lives of young children in Thailand. Often from impoverished families, the children train to fight to earn money, enduring hardship and pain striving for a more dignified life.
Nic explains “This photo essay focuses on the lives of these kids, the community around them and the spaces they occupy. Over the course of a year, I have continually visited and revisited these participants in an effort to building trust and closer relationships.
I have come to appreciate this is an incredible multi-layered story, however it requires more time in the field to explore, connect with other people and families, and allow opportunities to manifest. ‘Young Muay Thai’ is an on-going project that will shed light on the lives of these young survivors.”
