Vote-counting has begun across #Turkey in the high-stakes dual election for the presidency and parliament on June 24, and the Associated Press reports that early partial results show incumbent President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in the lead. Turkey’s official Anadolu News Agency said that with 22 percent of the ballot boxes counted, #Erdogan was at 59.1 percent of the vote, with challenger Muharrem Ince in second place at 26.5 percent. They are among six candidates competing for the presidency, the results of which will transform the country's parliamentary governance system to an executive presidency.
