People always ask me about bringing up my family in the city. Am I scared to watch them run down the city sidewalks? Do I mind the crowds and all the noise? Do I ever feel like living at a slower pace? The truth is— I am way more comfortable living in a small apartment amongst many neighbors, within the hustle and bustle of a big city, than I am in a suburban house with a yard. I’d rather walk down a crowded street than a quiet one. I feel safer walking through the city at night than going out in my backyard after dark on my own.
