When I first started traveling, I never imagined I would get to stay somewhere so lovely. To be honest, traveling was just something I thought wouldn’t happen for me. For a long time Eric and I would just pick a random spot - and that often led to places that were sketchy or a bummer - where we would drop our stuff off and try to spend as little time in the room as possible. And while not every trip we take is this glamorous, for my birthday it was really really nice to stay somewhere so special. To feel comfortable, and spend more time resting and less time running around the city was the real vacation for us. I don’t want to present that this is my life everyday - it’s not!
