This morning I woke up in my soft comfy bed, scrolled through the news and all I could think was: THIS IS SO F*CKED UP. How was I chosen?? How am I so lucky while others are out there struggling, willing to do 1000x the work that I do, often ending up injured or dead while enduring terrains and waters I wouldn’t last 20 minutes in/on, only to find a country that will accept them and let them have the same opportunities I’ve been so fortunate to have. Somewhere down the line my family came to this country. Why was it so easy? How did they not go through all of this? (...rhetorical question ?) It’s just not making any sense to me. I don’t care what side of politics you’re on right now, but I do care what side of humanity you’re on. ?‍♀️?‍♂️ All we can do is make ALL the calls ?, speak about it openly ?WITH compassion in our hearts ??, and continue to educate ourselves while leaving our political parties out of it. ?‍♀️ Today I’m donating $10k to the ACLU and I encourage you to give whatever you can so they can keep fighting the good fight ?. I love you guys. Thank you for being vocal and active on your own channels, you are making a difference. ??Don’t give up no matter how hard you get trolled. ??
