A little backstory, this picture was taken back when I used to skate in Buffalo, where I grew up. When I was 13, my coaches and family encouraged me to move away from home and pursue ice dancing more competitively. Although at the time this seemed like a crazy idea for a young teen to uproot her life, I was always so passionate about skating and the artistry and emotion we portray when on the ice, that I knew it was the right decision! Now, I look back and know that it was one of the best decisions I’ve made in my life! .
Most recently, JL and I made the decision to move from Detroit to Montreal, another big move similar to when I moves from Buffalo to Detroit 9 years ago. Change can be scary and uncomfortable, but it can also be incredibly exciting and rewarding too! i am so excited to see what this new step on my journey holds! #DedicationWorks .
