I have some sad news.??? A supporter sent me a heads up about an apartment complex that requires declawing, Randall Arms Apartments in Janesville, Wisconsin. The property is managed by RKSmithrealty.com I reached out to this company to double check about their pet policy and asked if they require declawing. The woman on the phone said, "Just the front paws." So I respectfully reached out to their lawyer, Mark, and tried to educate him about how declawing is inhumane and adversely affects the long term health and well-being of a cat. I do know the company policy has always been cats need to be declawed. " ? This company manages over 100 properties and I asked him if he would send an email to the owners to see if they would do the right thing and stop requiring this cat cruelty in their pet policy. ?? He sent this to me today, "We neither support nor are against your position. As a result, we are not doing anything for you and your group."?????? It's sad to see human beings who still condone and require this barbaric and unnecessary procedure even after they know better.
