It’s been one year since a fire at Grenfell Tower in London killed 72 people. Most survivors are still without new permanent homes, and a public inquiry into the fire is under way. One fire safety expert submitted a damning report detailing breaches of building regulations at almost every level, and raised concerns as to why it took nearly two hours for the fire brigade to drop its “stay put” advice and call for an evacuation of the building.
