As the song goes ?I like to be under the sea in an octopuses garden in the shade?? but out oceans and everything in it are at risk from warming sea temperatures from global climate change, and pollution from plastic trash and micro fibers to chemicals and pesticides from overdevelopment of shorelines. Our oceans are critical to our wellbeing in a million different ways ...from replenishing and enriching our souls, to creating the very air we breath! The oceans and Seas give us food , and provide livelihoods. And our oceans and seas have made poets of us all as we marvel at such natural beauty, inspired great works of art and memories to last a lifetime of days of laughter and enjoyment along her shimmering shores. So for #worldoceansmonth I’m asking all my friends to support The Protection of Marine National Monuments and Ocean Protection to help ensure their future so generations to come will also be able to marvel at all the beauty and wonder of the undersea world and reap the rewards of a healthy environment!
