An amazing shot of our home planet from 250 miles above, captured by astronaut Ricky Arnold (@astro_ricky) who is currently working and living on the International Space Station (@国際宇宙ステーション). He posted this shot of the Red Sea to social media, saying, “Humankind’s most advanced technology serves as the foreground for a timeless land.” Six people currently orbit the Earth about once every 90min (17,500mph) aboard the ISS. During their time on the space station, they conduct important science and research that not only benefits life here on Earth, but will help us send humans deeper into the solar system than ever before.
