Bunch of a-holes. Cue the questions about how we shoot Yondu and Nebula against blue screen and Gamora against green screen. Answer: when it doesn’t key in properly, rotoscoping. BUT Gamora’s usually outlined because of her hair and Yondu and Nebula are not so bad because of their baby-smooth blue heads. All in all, our visual effects artists take on incredibly more challenging jobs than that (like creating the trillion polygon environment behind them that was the interior of Ego’s planet.) Secondary question: Why do you use blue screen instead of green screen? Blue screen is much easier on the eyes when you’re surrounded by it for 12 hours, so usually we use that.
