The Royal National Theatre in London (aka National Theatre of Great Britain) is another stunning example of #Brutalist architecture. #PrinceCharles, perhaps not a fan, described the building in 1988 as, “a clever way of building a nuclear power station in the middle of #London without anyone objecting.” ??? Regardless of your aesthetic preferences, the NT is a spectacular addition to Great Britain’s dedication to the arts. It contains three separate theatres as well as a forecourt used for open-air performances in the summer. If you are a budding (or established) theatre aficionado and want to learn more, the foyers are open to the public as well as bookshops, restaurants and bars (and a well loved espresso bar!)
