Test no. 5 on Japanese Washi paper. Was a bit more prepared for what this had in store. Washi paper often makes wetter inks feather to a bloom as soon as it hits the page. To counter that, a 'drier' ink was chosen (Noodler's Midway Blue from their V-Mail line) - to some pretty decent results.

It's been pretty cool to discover that some of the ink approaches of late seem to combine western fountain pen sensibilities with a bit of eastern sumi-e. Always hoped to combine E+W as style develops & hope it continues that way :) .

This portrait sketch of @ソネクア・マーティン＝グリーン was done somewhere in Little Italy Toronto. Was pretty co to find a set of @escoda_brushes Ultimo in-store at @gwartzmans during my walk - and for less than what's online! So, grabbed some @wonderpensink , found a spot, and went to it. Always fun to do.
