Success, money, recognition, awards, the smiling faces of loved ones, none will save you from the sobering reality of mental illness. If there is anything the tragic losses of this week have shown us it is just that. None of us are immune. Many of us are suffering in silence in fear of the stigma associated with mental health. Let’s stop suffering in silence. We deserve better and the world deserves all of our contributions. I have dealt with depression and anxiety since my teenage years and it’s a battle I refuse to loose. If you need someone to talk to and feel you have no one else, you have me.
