Of all his extraordinary London shows, Alexander McQueen said that his Spring/Summer 1999 offering, No. 13, was “the only one that actually made me cry”. The show was one of his most open tributes to the Arts and Crafts Movement, and was opened by Paralympian @aimeemullins wearing intricately carved prosthetics. “Above all, though, No. 13 will be remembered for its finale, featuring Shalom Harlow, a former ballerina, dancing on a centrally placed disk, between two metal robots hired from a car manufacturing plant,” @susannahfrankel recalls. “Their interaction began gently before the level of menace increased and the model’s pure white cotton trapeze dress was sprayed black and yellow as she turned.” The @アレキサンダー・マックイーン documentary is released in the UK today ?
