I’m absolutely gutted to hear of the apparent suicide death of @anthonybourdain. I always loved and admired his ability to blend food, travel, history and music together, helping me to understand the world through street level dialog with everyday people. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ His voice was a mix of baritone gravel, sarcastic wit, passion for all he talked about and gentle soothing that made me think, “It’s time to settle into the couch deeper, this one’s gonna be good.” ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ A true humanitarian whose shows highlighted the ordinary, and enabled us each episode, to see how precious our lives and cultures really are. He often left me with more questions than answers, as good documentary should and oddly with the worst cases of FOMO, like “Man, I wanna be chilling at that table, eating that food, in that exotic location.” Only to realize he’s eating a hot dog, in Cleveland or some place like that, but the way he described it just made ya wanna be there. He was that good. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ His death has left me feeling the same way I felt after reading just yesterday that suicide rates in America have ballooned by 25% since 1999...why???! Why are so many people taking their own lives...even someone as cherished as Anthony. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Please be there today for someone you know is going through a challenging time. In fact, call someone right now who you know is. I am going to. Rock on in the next life brother. You are missed in this one. AB, 61 years old, you will live on through your episodes, i will forever wait for another season. I think I’ll watch a few this weekend...just to hear that voice. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #anthonybourdain #sad #stayhuman #RIP #cnn

I’m absolutely gutted to hear of the apparent suicide death of @アンソニー・ボーディン. I always loved and admired his ability to blend food, travel, history and music together, helping me to understand the world through street level dialog with everyday people.
