The challenge of catching any kind of plane flying across a full moon has always fascinated me, as has catching the full moon as it traverses an interesting horizon or a landmark building or other place of interest. The key is to identify an area where planes consistently follow the same path (such as on the approach to a major airport) and then research when the moon will roughly be in the same vicinity at the same altitude. It takes patience and a little good luck but when you can see the plane approaching and it is looking like it may cross the moon, the excitement rises.
