PLASTIC NOT FANTASTIC! If you haven’t made your pledge yet... let our Editor In Chief @lucy_yeomans daughter Red talk you into it. Six year old Red has pledged to give up glitter (see image 2) as part of the @parley.tv #porterxparley #plasticnotfantastic #parleyAIR which, given her love of all things sparkly, is quite a big deal, but as she says, she loves the oceans and the sea creatures a lot more.

Not so sparkly: When washed down the drain glitter becomes a subset of marine plastic litter called micro plastic. These micro plastics are consumed by ocean wildlife and can cause them to die of starvation.
