"This photo of a Green sea turtle was captured off Bunken Island in Manado Indonesia. This place is like turtle heaven! It wasn’t unusual to see over 10 turtles per dive, living proof that Marine Parks work! The turtles here also seemed to be very comfortable in my presence allowing for some nice interactions. This guy really seemed impressed with his own reflection in my glass dome port, checking himself out and I have to admit he is a good looking turtle.

A little tip for underwater photography, always try to minimise the distance between you and your subject. This has to be on the animals terms. The more water between you and the subject the more chance of backscatter showing up in your image. What I really love about shooting with the Nikkor 8-15mm Fisheye lens is that is allows me to get in nice and tight with the subject thanks to its super close focusing capabilities. Getting in close helps create a great perspective of the turtle in this image while also capturing the surrounding seascape." - @brett.lobwein
