Nicholas Dworet, a swimmer with an infectious smile, was one of the seniors killed when a gunman opened fire at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in #Parkland, Florida, in February.
.
In his bedroom, an acceptance letter to the University of Indianapolis sits on a desk below a whiteboard with a note from his girlfriend and an uncompleted task list. His goggles lay on top of a school paper he had written for class, next to a sheet of paper listing his swim times.
.
Nick’s parents are now preparing for Parkland’s graduation ceremony, where their son and the 3 other seniors killed in the shooting will be memorialized.
.
“It’s easy to talk about the good memories with Nick,” his mother said, “but it’s very difficult to talk about the things he’s not going to get to do.”
