We call on the Mexican government and all the political leaders from the countries that these families are fleeing to take the needed measures to protect the women, men and children who are leaving with the threats of violence, so that they do not have to face the dangers of migration and risk the possibility of becoming victims to the Trump administration’s anti-immigrant border policy.
We call on the Trump Administration to immediately cease this policy of separating families. Additionally, we urge the US government to release all children, including unaccompanied minors and immigrant families, from immigration detention to allow them to reunite with their family members in the United States as they see their immigration cases, including asylum and other petitions, through the civil immigration process.
The Trump Administration must work to ensure that the United States continues to live up to the standards that its forefathers created as a nation that accepts immigrants, particularly those who are facing persecution and harm.

I urge you all to participate.
What is done to one of us is done to us all. We fail ourselves and each other when we ignore the enormous possibility that this could be us one day.
So continue showing up and peaking up.
We fight because we understand that our humanity is measured only by how much we see ourselves in the other.
