Plastic *not* fantastic. When I told Porter’s Editor-in-Chief @lucy_yeomans about the very immediate dangers facing the world’s oceans and why we all need to help save them, it was a watershed moment. Because so often, no matter how worthwhile the cause, all that most of us can do is be more aware or donate. But when it comes to our seas, and particularly the plastic that is polluting them and killing their wildlife, we are all part of the problem, which means we can all be part of the solution. Fashion is an industry that inspires, and the three of us including @cyrillgutsch saw a way to work together to inspire real change. So we’re asking all of you to take the plastic pledge and commit to giving up one unnecessary use of plastic in your life.
Porter is kicking off by pledging to phase out the plastic packaging they use to send out PORTER’s subscriber copies.
