IT’S A LONG GAME – BUT LOVE WILL WIN.
We are simply overwhelmed with gratitude to you and with hope for the world.

YOU RAISED ONE MILLION DOLLARS IN 9 HOURS. EVERY PENNY WE RECEIVED FROM YOU IS GOING TO HELP REUNITE THESE BABIES WITH THEIR PARENTS AND KEEP THEM SAFE.
We understand that some aspects of immigration are complicated – But. Not. This. The fact that babies should not be torn away from their mothers is not complicated.
We have already notified The Florence Immigrant and Refugee Rights Project and the Young Center for Immigrant Children’s Rights that each will receive full funding for their proposal to serve this new influx of unaccompanied minors in detention.
We are not done. We are going to keep going, keep collecting your tax-deductible donations, keep learning -- so that we will be able to fund more lawyers and child advocates to serve little ones being held, afraid and alone, at other detention centers across the country.
If you are tempted to feel that no one cares: Let me assure you: Tens is thousands of people from all over the world showed up in the past 9 hours and poured out their hard-earned money to help babies they’ve never met reunite with mothers they’ll never know.
PEOPLE CARE. So many people care.

And if we have peace, it’s because we've remembered that WE BELONG TO EACH OTHER.
