The Theatre of Dionysus under the Acropolis in Athens. The 1st stage in the Western World. In one story, there were dancers in the orchestra (the “stage” you see in the center) and they would dance while singers would sing in celebration of different deities and holy days. One day one of the dancers spoke back to the singers: The first dialogue and from this exchange the first actor; and not just song, not just dance, but theatre was born.
