Was gonna take today (Sunday) off from the gym as per yoosh, but then started thinkin’ about when I grew up here in Hawaii... I used to walk to World Gym in Waikiki when I was 14yrs old - every day after school to clang and bang on that iron.
I also used to hustle the gym front desk employee who would always tell me I was months behind on my membership dues. I was broke as fuck but would always say “absolutely brothaaa, next week I’ll bring you tha cash” then I’d throw him a 🤙🏾 with a smile and a wink.
The next week would come, I’d still be broke and looking for another way to hustle my way into the gym.
Now, I’m back in Hawaii shooting a movie and one lucky SOB to be able to bring my own traveling circus of gym with me.
So, I said🖕🏾the day off today and wound up having one of my best workouts in months.
And big mahalo to that World Gym employee who always let that pimply faced 14yr old punk kid get his workout in - even when you knew I was completely full of bullshit.
