A behind the scenes pic with one of our directors on American Exit. Hospital scene.. on a rough day.. thinking of my pops in the hospital and playing someone sick was cathartic and emotional. I really channeled my dad during these moments. I feel like even his death was a gift to me with perspective on loss. I am grateful for even the hardest transitions.
I’m so glad @Lionsgate & Grindhouse are behind this movie. A touching.. thrilling.. immersive story. @levizmiller is such a stand out and the future of acting. His presence playing my son elevated scenes to places I would not have expected. A keen observer and a really good human being.
I remember seeing Dallas Buyers Club and becoming fascinated at its journey. I started looking for projects like this. Small.. important films with no generic stuff.
I will letcha know when and where you can see American Exit.
