While admiring this family portrait of the #RoyalWedding we couldn't help but think about #ladydiana and how her absence must have felt like in such an important day for #princeharry. Reportedly, the new #dukeofsussex was personally involved in the #wedding details making sure to properly honor the memory of his late mother.
He picked out forget-me-nots (Lady Diana's favorite #flowers) for #meghanmarkle's bouquet. We all witnessed the Prince wiping away a tear when the hymn "Guide Me, O Thy Great Redeemer" ended. The hymn was performed by Sir Elton John back in 1997 for Princess Diana's funeral. Also, the couple has asked their guests to donate to charities instead of traditional wedding gifts. They selected various charitable organizations including those supported by Princess Diana.
