Ozzie has started wearing a doc band, the doctor estimates treatment may take around 12 weeks. The band works by redirecting the baby’s natural head growth into a normal head shape. Ozzie has flat spots and some other issues with the shape of his head, which is very common due to babies sleeping on their back and being in containers such as car seats, swings and rocking chairs. He has moderate plagiocephaly and brachycephaly. It’s not an illness so he is feeling fine. Although I’m sure it’s a little uncomfortable with the heat and having to wear it 23 hours a day.
