Say hi to Paria (@labyrinthofcollages), a Melbourne-based artist who puts together collages inspired by current events, as well as pop culture and fashion trends. Take a look at some of her artwork and you can immediately see her strong aesthetic, which she says is “a combination of bold and edginess meets delicate and dreamy. And a lot of glitter.” Instagram has helped her gain a following that has brought her to places, like Melbourne’s Fashion Festival. Her tips for getting that perfect IG feed is to post consistently, and stick to what you like as opposed to what you think is going to attract more followers or likes. She believes that people will be able to see that you’re passionate about something when you remain authentic and true to yourself.

Her Instagram “muses” are women who embody female empowerment, that are independent, unapologetic, and passionate about what they do. She also takes inspiration from 90’s editorials and campaigns, fashion month, and the Met Gala.

Paria wants to keep making a positive impact from creating collages. She often decides to donate all proceeds she makes from creating custom collages to a cause she’s passionate about, such as the Kind Campaign (@kind_campaign), or Time’s Up (@timesupnow). Using a platform, no matter how small it may be, to help others is something she wants to inspire others to take part in.
