Growing up in the Ocean State, my childhood revolved around beaches and pools. I first took swim lessons when I was six months old because my mom wanted me to be safer around the water. The importance of ensuring that kids learn this critical life skill at an early age is paramount. Once you learn to swim, a whole new world of opportunity is available to you.
