Work hard and be focused BUT don’t forget to stop and smell the roses along the way. What’s the point of working hard if you won’t allow yourself to enjoy the fruits of your labor and have someone to share memorable experiences with? At the end of the day- when we’re in our final moments on our death bed- we won’t be looking around to see our money, cars and assets in that room- nope- we’ll be looking around that room to hold the hand of our loved ones that mean something to us. We’ll be thinking about our great memories, the time we laughed walking on the beach and felt like kids again, we’ll be reminiscing about the way someone looked at us, made us feel and took our breath away. We’ll be checking for the faces of our children that we’re proud of. And I understand the motivation of working hard to leave something for your kids and kids kids- totally understandable but don’t sacrifice your life you have now for it- you matter too! So when you’re grinding and over working yourself into a shorter life expectancy- just try to maintain some balance so you’ll have no regrets in those final moments. You don’t have to sacrifice one for the other.
