Ready, steady, MANTA RAY BREACH! @alexkyddphoto witnessed the extraordinary sight of a manta ray leaping out of the water off Coral Bay in @westernaustralia recently, and incredibly, managed to capture it on camera. Although breaching is relatively common behaviour for manta rays, it's not often that humans are around to witness it. Manta rays don't have a sharp barb, making them safe to swim, snorkel or dive with. You can see manta rays all year round in this part of @australiascoralcoast, although the best time of year is generally from May to September.
