#LaurenCohan raised eyebrows a few months ago when she joined the pilot for ABC’s new series #WhiskeyCavalier in a co-leading role, that’s despite being a surviving regular on AMC’s #TheWalkingDead.
Cohan’s contract for ‘Dead’ was in the midst of renegotiation when she joined ‘Cavalier’, prompting speculation as to how she would do both shows and would she have to give up one should ‘Cavalier’ go to series.

This week ABC gave the show a series order, and it does mean Cohan won’t be able to return to “The Walking Dead” full time. However, she will be back with Deadline reporting that Cohan recently closed a deal to appear in six of the first eight episodes of the upcoming ninth season of “The Walking Dead”. The actress will reportedly wrap her scenes before production starts on “Whiskey Cavalier” this summer. Cohan has also been cleared to do multiple episodes during her hiatus from the ABC show, but to do so she would need to negotiate a deal if AMC wants her to continue.
