Happy Birthday to me! I’m not gonna lie- 31 was kind of a bitch to the birthday bitch. It’s no secret I experienced some big losses, some deep pain, had moments of true unwieldiness. I try to use those experiences as a way to connect to people who need to be reminded that their humanity is not a character defect but an essential strength. I often need to be reminded of that, especially in an industry where everyone seems to be able to pop out 5 perfect kids while never gaining weight and walking easily in stilettos. I am not and can never be that lady. Distance brings clarity though and I’m so excited for 32 to shine a light on the years that came before it and illuminate how I can make them matter. I’m so grateful to the people who loved me through this year, the ones who reminded me that I was valuable to them in any form. I love the folks who follow this account madly and truly- you’ve offered me grace. To a year of health and peace for YOU. Always your girl, LD
