So in response the city of Oakland came to the same spot where the lady called the police... had another BBQ at Lake Merrit... and did the electric slide!! I love Oakland!! #ThisIsOakland #Oaklandish #ThisIsAmerica

Note: Even before gentrification really got aggressive in Oakland, down by Lake Merrit they have been trying to keep Black Folks from having celebrations by the lake. Remember “Festival at the Lake”??
