Yesterday, vets in British Columbia, Canada banned declawing! They said, "There is a consensus among the public and within our profession that declawing cats is an inhumane treatment and ethically unacceptable."

42 countries have banned declawing because it is so inhumane and harmful to the health and well-being of a cat.

European vets and their veterinary organizations call declawing a mutilating and unethical procedure.
Yet in America, the veterinary a$$ociations fight with all they have to stop our anti-declawing bills so their vet$ like this one can keep performing this cat cruelty. ???
The New York State Veterinary Medical Society said, "“NYSVMS will ALWAYS aggressively defend the licensed veterinarian’s right to make medical treatment decisions that are in the best interests of their patients" in an email to their vets after they stopped the NY anti-declawing bill in 2016. ??? Declawing is a BILLION dollar business in America. Around 10 million cats a year have their toe bones and claws amputated, mostly for the welfare of a piece of furniture.
