Today’s #WCW is Damita Byrd, senior Direct of Diversity and Inclusion at The Empowerment Network in my hometown of Omaha. The Empowerment Network has been pounding the pavement, working to transform the economic condition and quality of life for African‐Americans, North Omaha residents, and citizens of the Greater Omaha area by implementing Empowerment Plans. Damita’s work is helping to close long‐standing gaps in employment, entrepreneurship, education, housing, and other quality of life factors that have been traditionally based on race and geographic segregation.
