For ‘Azzedine Alaïa: The Couturier’, which opens at London’s Design Museum tomorrow, 60 of the renowned designer’s most outstanding pieces are presented against a series of five monumental screens. This Marc Newson-designed screen, made by aluminium specialist Neal Feay, is made up of 64 huge tiles boasting a velvet lined surface in a pink shade which Alaïa loved.
