Meditation isn’t magic. It can help you to be a bit calmer and less reactive, but it’s not a cure-all, and it won’t fix all of your problems. Also: meditation shouldn’t be dogmatic, a meditation practice should serve you, not the other way around. There are lots of great practices, find one(or many)that suits you, and see if meditation helps you to calm down and be a little bit less victimized by your thoughts and compulsions. Two questions I like to ask when I’m losing my mind:
1-what’s actually going on right now?
2-is there another way of looking at my thoughts and reactions?
