For the first time in decades, population of the critically #endangered river dolphins in the Mekong has risen! 22 babies were born in the last two years and there are now 92 Irrawaddy dolphins! They are threatened by #habitat #degradation and fishing nets. But effective river patrolling and the strict confiscation of illegal gillnets has given the species new hope. ❤️?
