I don’t see why people should make much fuss about that.” —— Fanny Blanker-Koen was 30 years old and a mother of 2 when she became the most successful athlete at the London 1948 Olympic Games with 4 gold medals. Her accomplishments were unheard of at the time and in 1999, Blanker-Koen was appointed “Female Athlete of the Century” by @IAAF_athletics.
