On behalf of Her Majesty The Queen, The Prince of Wales attended a Dawn Service this morning to mark the centenary of the Battle of Villers-Bretonneux in France.
Around 2,400 Australians were killed in the Battle of Villers-Bretonneux, 100 years ago on the 24-25th April 1918.
Today is also #ANZACDay, which honours the members of the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps (ANZAC) who served and died in all wars, conflicts, and peacekeeping operations.
During a reading, The Prince of Wales said: “Today, as we mark a century since they gave their lives, let us resolve to continue to fulfil their trust, so that every passing year will only add to the measure of their honour.” More on @クラレンス邸 #AnzacDay
