A day for the movers and shakers... Fashion Revolution Week kicked off today with an informative talk at the houses of parliament about the future of socially ethical fashion. After this I stood in front of a field of flax installed at the Chelsea College of Art.
Flax makes Linen, linen feels nice, looks chic and is inherently sustainable. A hardy plant, it doesn't require irrigation nor pesticides as it grows. Just watch out for the post processing.... Cause all that won't change the world if after its grown you throw unecessary chemicals at it to turn it into fabric.
